CateyePen (“we”, “us”) operates this online store and sells to customers in India. This Privacy Policy tells you what personal information we collect, what we use it for, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. By browsing the site or placing an order, you accept this Policy.

No customer accounts

You do not need to create an account or password to buy from us. You check out as a guest, so we do not store any login details.

What we collect

  • Order and delivery details: your name, mobile number, email address, delivery address, PIN code, state and the items you ordered.

  • Payment details: we accept UPI and Visa or Mastercard cards only. For UPI, we receive the UTR / reference number you type in; we never get your UPI PIN or bank login. Card payments are taken on Razorpay’s secure page, so we never see or store your card number, expiry date or CVV. We only learn whether the payment succeeded and its payment ID.

  • Messages: whatever you send us through the contact form or by email.

  • Data kept on your device: to save you time, your browser remembers your cart and the delivery details you entered at checkout. This stays on your own device, and you can remove it any time by clearing your browser data.

  • Technical data: our hosting provider may record basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure. We do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers on this website.

What we use it for

  • Processing, checking, packing, shipping and delivering your order.

  • Sending order confirmations, tracking updates and replies to your questions.

  • Confirming that payments are genuine and preventing fraud.

  • Keeping the tax, accounting and other records that the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Who helps us handle it

We pass on only what is needed to complete your order:

  • Payments: Razorpay for card payments, and your own bank or UPI app for UPI payments.

  • Order and contact forms: Formspree, which emails your order details and messages to us.

  • Website hosting: Cloudflare.

  • Suppliers and couriers: your name, phone number and delivery address go to our fulfilment partners and delivery companies so they can pack and deliver your parcel. Some of them are based outside India.

  • PIN code lookup: when you type your PIN code at checkout, only that PIN code is sent to a public India Post lookup service so your city and state can be filled in for you.

  • Authorities: where the law, a court order or a valid government request requires it.

Processing outside India

Because some of our suppliers and service providers work from other countries, your information may be handled outside India. We share only what is necessary to fulfil your order.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to deliver your order, deal with returns and support, and meet tax, accounting and legal duties. After that we delete the records or remove the details that identify you.

Your choices and rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Email us at the address below and we will reply within a reasonable time, usually within 7 days. Withdrawing consent or deleting data may prevent us from completing an order that is in progress, and we may have to keep certain records the law requires.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian place the order. If you think a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS and card payments go through Razorpay. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We may change this Policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top.
